Ruby J. Munro is a television and film director based in Vancouver, B.C. In 2020, Ruby directed and produced her first short film, The Victim. In 2021, she directed her first long format project, which earned great reviews. Based on these successes, she has been awarded several more projects going into production in 2022.

Ruby came to directing following a successful 30+ year career as a highly respected Script Supervisor. In this role, she worked with directors such as Lesli Links Glatter, John Badham, and Jonathan Demme, and with cast that includes icons like Peter O’Toole, Shirley MacLaine and Isabella Rosselini as well as contemporary artists like Ryan Reynolds, Peter Dinklage, Anne Hathaway, and many more.

Ruby's experience includes feature films and hit television series, where she has provided outstanding support to producers, directors and cast in helping to realize the writer's vision, all the while learning and building her own skill set. Ruby is excited to continue to help good stories get told on the screen.
